Ahoy. We are glad you are interested in the Oak Harbor Yacht Club. Hopefully you have had some time to look around the website.  Information is available from the home page on the Sail Fleet and Cruise Fleet with 2023 schedules for each.  There are also many social events throughout the year ranging from a casual Pig Roast to a semi-formal Commodore’s Ball, and everything in between. The Sail Fleet race every Thursday (in season) and then meet at the club for burgers and drinks afterwards.  The general membership meets Wednesday evenings for a meal, socializing and occasional card games.  Members get to enjoy special events at the club like Seahawks games during the football season. Friday nights at the club are a social evening with jokes and club updates.  Many meal options are available for a “grill your own” dinner, as well as a full bar.  If you would like to visit on a Friday evening to experience one of our weekly events, we would be happy to have you come as a guest.   Please let us know if you would like to arrange a date to visit.

In the meantime, complete the following membership and sponsorship applications. Once received the Membership chairs will reachout to confirm your information and discuss next steps. New members must be sponsored by a current member in good standing.  If you don’t know a member, we will help you find someone with similar interests.  Once your application is received, a short bio will be posted for the members to review for 15 days and then the board will vote on your application.  When an application has been approved, the new member is invited to attend the next Friday meeting to be introduced and receive their member packet.  You can expect the process to take 6-8 weeks, and you are welcome to visit the club as a guest while the application is being reviewed.  The annual dues for 2023 is $573, prorated for the number of months remaining in the year at the time a member joins.  In addition, a $60 one-time administrative fee is charged to new members.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Send your inquiries to members@ohyc.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
