Oak Harbor Yacht Club is a boating organization. However, membership is open to non-boaters and boaters alike. Our full range of social activities include full dinner Fridays, and grill-your-own burger or brat Wednesdays. We also enjoy monthly dinner events in our event space which provides a warm and friendly forum for the exchange of boating (and NON-boating) experiences.
The Oak Harbor Yacht Club can accommodate weddings, receptions, family gatherings, holiday parties, change of command and corporate meetings. Membership is not required to rent the Ballroom at the OHYC. We provide a wide array of options for, tables, linens, dishware. Plus, we have beautiful decor from which to choose. We also allow other vendors.
The Cruise Fleet sponsors several area cruises for both power and sail boats each year. These include weekend/holiday cruises to the San Juan Islands, extended cruises to the Canadian Islands, the South Sound and other fun places.
The Sail Fleet hosts year-round racing for members and non-members. The season kicks off with Thursday date night sailing through September and several regattas throughout the rest of the year.
The Oak Harbor Yacht Club hosts many social activities on a weekly and monthly basis with many more events throughout the year. Join us for food and fun!

Wednesday - Friday 5pm-10pm The Club is open to all members and their guests.
The Oak Harbor Yacht Club (OHYC) proudly offers a fun and relaxed environment of camaraderie and sportsmanship. We promote an interest in boating and encourage boating-related activities, as well as social activities year-round! The OHYC continues the traditions of the original Deception Pass Boat Club, of which the OHYC is a direct descendant.
OHYC Hours of Operation and Monthly Activities: The OHYC Clubhouse is open Wednesday through Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. . (closing time varies with the number of Members present). Exceptions are usually Thanksgiving and Christmas week when the OHYC is closed. Check the monthly calendar included in the Newsletter for any scheduled closures of the Clubhouse and bar.
Wednesday Burger Night: A gathering evening for members, sitting by the fireplace or getting a card game started. Price for a Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Bratwurst comes with condiments and a bag of chips. Pay for your dinner at the bar when you arrive. Food reservations are required by noon on Wednesday for that night. Email info@OHYC.org with your name and dinner order for your group. Members start arriving around 5:00 P.M. to socialize and cook their dinners on the grill between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Thursday Night, Sailfleet Races: Join us at A dock at 4:45 for the OHYC Sailfleet sailboat races. Skippers always need experienced crew, so don’t be shy. Ask a captain if there is room for you! Afterwards, come up to the club and join us for a Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Bratwurst and a drink at the club. All registered racers and crew are welcome to join the sailors for race results.
Friday Night, Members Social Night: Friday is the Club’s social night. Expect a big turn out on Friday and plan to meet a lot of great people. Happy Hour starts at 5:00. There are usually bar snacks available and often a specialty drink for the night. The kitchen opens at 6:00 where you pick up your “reserved” raw dinner. Grill your own dinner choosing from hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, chicken breast, Mahi Mahi and steak. Chicken, steak and fish come with sides (potato and salad). Sandwiches come with chips but you can super size them with cheese, bacon and fries.
Monthly Social Night: In addition to generous hours 3 days a week the Club generally hosts one or more “member only” social events each month. Events include movie nights, game nights, sports parties, special dining, live music, dancing, themed/holiday parties, and educational presentations to name a few. Some events require pre-paid reservations while others are free as a member benefit. Make your reservations online or at the bar.
